The Hop Research Council offers membership in three categories – Brewers, Hop Dealers, and Hop Grower Organizations. Each member organization selects a “member representative” that is responsible for voting on behalf of the member. Council membership is equal with each member allocated one vote - regardless of membership category or size. Attendance at meetings is not limited to the representative and most members have additional individuals participate in the meetings and Council activities.

The Council is funded through dues and assessments paid by the membership on an annual basis. Assessments are based on: barrels of beer sold for brewers; pounds of hops handled for hop dealers; and pounds of hops produced for grower organizations.
